In this newsletter we inform you about our official entry into the Progressive Insurance Automative X PRIZE. Gomecsys will compete in the X PRIZE with two cars in the mainstream class.
Gomecsys compete in X PRIZE
Gomecsys goal to enter the XPRIZE competition is to demonstrate there new super efficient and powerful 2 inline GoEngine. The simple but revolutionary GoEngine technology reduces fuel consumption and CO2 emission by more then 50% compared to modern engines with the same power output, and in addition to that also the production cost of the engine is 25% lower than a modern engine with the same power output. A 1000cc Supercharged version with 200 BHP will be demonstrated in a C class Mercedes. An 800cc Supercharged version with 150BHP will be used in an Alfa Romeo Mito.
The powerful but light weight (50kg) and low cost production GoEngine is an extremely downsized engine that can run with a compression ratio of 20:1 when driving at lower speeds (city driving) but under acceleration or higher speed the compression ratio can be lowered to as low as 7:1 which means that high boost (3 bar) can be used to generate massive power without any knocking problems.
For Gomecsys it’s an exiting time as the XPRIZE GoEngine is the first engine that is completely designed in house. Bert de Gooijer, inventor of the GoEngine technology is leading a team of engineers that work around the clock to perfection the GoEngine.

About X PRIZE
The goal of the Progressive Automotive X PRIZE, a project of the X PRIZE Foundation, is to inspire a new generation of viable, super fuel-efficient vehicles that offer more consumer choices. Ten million dollars in prizes will be awarded to the teams that win a stage race for clean, production-capable vehicles that exceed 100 MPGe.
The Progressive Automotive X PRIZE will place a major focus on affordability, safety, and the environment. It is about developing real, production-capable cars that consumers want to buy, not science projects or concept cars. This progress is needed because today’s oil consumption is unsustainable and because automotive emissions significantly contribute to global warming and climate change.
