On boosted race engines the Gomecsys VCR technology gives a 12% increase in efficiency.

The most important feature for boosted race applications is the overexpansion functionallity.
5% efficiency increase is realised from the overexpansion (longer expansion stroke then compression stroke).
4% increase in efficiency is realised by using the optimum compression ratio under all conditions and rpm's.
2% efficiency gain is realised from a reduction in engine friction.
1% efficiency gain is realised from the optimization of the piston crown design.
